About the job

Take responsibility for busy trading shifts in an established Tramore supermarket, supporting the Store Manager and helping the team deliver strong standards every day.

What you will be doing

  • Lead the shop floor during your shifts, giving the team clear direction and keeping customer service, availability and presentation at a high standard
  • Support the Store Manager with day-to-day store operations, team deployment and the practical follow-up of priorities
  • Open or close the store when required and deal confidently with operational, customer and people issues
  • Keep cash, stock, waste, merchandising and promotional standards under control
  • Help train and support colleagues, set a good pace on the floor and contribute to a positive, accountable team
  • Work closely with colleagues across the store so handovers are clear and trading priorities are understood
  • Use store information and your own observations to spot gaps in availability, service or standards and act on them quickly
  • Maintain food-safety, health-and-safety and store-compliance standards

What we are looking for

  • At least two years of recent retail management or supervisory experience
  • Experience in supermarket, grocery, convenience or forecourt retail is strongly preferred
  • Evidence of leading people and taking responsibility for a full trading shift
  • A practical, hands-on approach and the judgement to deal with day-to-day store issues
  • Availability to work 45 hours across five days over seven
