Legal information
Website Terms
These terms apply to use of this public website. Separate written terms govern any recruitment assignment, fee, guarantee or other commercial service.
1. Website information
Brown Oak aims to keep public information clear and accurate. Recruitment details can change, a role can close, and an employer may amend a brief. Website content is general information and is not a binding offer of employment, legal advice or a guarantee of any recruitment outcome.
2. Applications and hiring decisions
Submitting an application or CV does not guarantee a response, interview, introduction or employment. Hiring decisions are made by the relevant employer. Brown Oak may assess relevance to the published brief and contact you where a useful recruitment conversation is available.
3. Candidate information
You should provide accurate information that you are entitled to share. Do not upload another person’s CV or confidential employer material without permission. Brown Oak may ask for evidence needed to verify information at an appropriate stage.
4. Employer enquiries
A hiring-brief form is an invitation to discuss a potential assignment; it does not create an agency engagement by itself. Scope, fees, payment terms, candidate ownership, replacement arrangements and other commercial terms must be agreed separately in writing.
5. Permitted use
You may browse the site and use its public recruitment information for genuine personal or business purposes. You must not attempt to interfere with the site, bypass security, submit malicious files, scrape personal data, misrepresent identity or use the service unlawfully.
6. Intellectual property
The Brown Oak name, visual identity, website design and original editorial content belong to Brown Oak or its licensors. You may link to public pages and quote short excerpts with attribution, but may not reproduce the site or use the brand as your own without permission.
7. External services
Links to other sites are provided for convenience. Brown Oak does not control their availability, content or privacy practices.
8. Availability and liability
Brown Oak does not promise uninterrupted website availability. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, Brown Oak is not responsible for indirect loss arising solely from reliance on general website content or from third-party services.
9. Irish law
These website terms are governed by Irish law. Any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish courts, unless mandatory consumer law requires otherwise.
10. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent to aurimas@brownoak.ie.
