Lead a freshly revamped Portlaoise convenience and forecourt store, managing the team, fresh food, customer standards and commercial performance.

What you will be doing

Take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the store, keeping the shop, forecourt and customer facilities operating to a consistently high standard
Lead, roster, coach and develop the store team, setting clear expectations and dealing with performance or service issues promptly
Drive sales and profitability through strong control of labour, margin, stock, waste, availability, promotions and local execution
Maintain excellent fresh-food, deli and coffee standards, with close attention to food safety, presentation, range, availability and waste
Keep health-and-safety, fuel-site, cash-handling, food-safety and audit requirements under control across the whole operation
Work closely with group leadership on store performance, practical improvements and the next phase of growth

Recent management experience in a convenience store, forecourt or comparable grocery operation
A strong hands-on leadership style and experience managing, rostering and developing a customer-facing retail team
Good commercial judgement, including practical experience of sales, margin, labour, stock, availability and waste control
Strong fresh-food knowledge, with the ability to maintain high standards across deli, coffee, food safety and customer service
The organisation and decision-making skills to take ownership of a busy store and deal with day-to-day issues confidently

€40,000–€45,000 a year · Bonus: €6,000
